Pay Range: Based on industry standard and experience in Traffic Control.
Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, nights and weekends as needed.
Position Summary: The position of Traffic Control Lead will coordinate all traffic control site activities.

Job Duties:
• Oversee all Traffic Control operations and personnel in conjunction with Operations Manager.
• Ensure safety and compliance with the Traffic Control management plan in all Traffic Control operations.
• Implement, manage, and maintain Traffic Control field operations compliant with the Traffic Control management plan.
• Coordinate with management and customer contract contacts to ensure timely Traffic Control operations in support of construction activities.
• Provide limited supervision to others through motivation, direction, review, and feedback of assigned tasks.
• Ensure all responsibilities of field staff are carried out and performed in consistent compliance with the Traffic Control management plan.
• Ability to adjust to changes in work tasks or environment.
• Demonstrate initiative by evaluating situations, making decisions based on facts and solid judgements.
• Act in a manner that represents the professional manner reflecting the company’s values and principles.
• Produce high quality work, safely and productively at all times.
• Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment, and information is available for work when needed.
• Assistance in maintenance of equipment with Operations Manager and General Manager.
• Hands-on support in the field may be required.
• Assist in daily reporting of time and materials / equipment used on specific jobs.
• Assist in tracking inventory.
• Any other reasonable request deemed necessary by management.

Job Requirements:
• Experience on large highway, bridge/structures, paving and/or utility relocation projects as a contractor.
• Traffic Control specific experience preferred.
• Current ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification preferred
• Effectively communicate with the public.
• Have the ability to take direction from General Manager and management as well as contractor employees.
• Communicate with contractors and relate specific customer/job changes, and other information to General Manager, Project Manager, office staff or other persons.
• Operate a 2-way radio.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the team.
• Provide highest level of customer service to all customers.
• Excellent attendance required, dependable transportation, good work ethic.
• May require certain training level of training by TxDOT specifications.
• Have a valid Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements:
• May be required to work 12+ hour shifts performing construction-based labor in varying temperature extremes and conditions.
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing no more than 50 lbs.
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job-related noises.
• Must be able to perform the following actions to the frequency stated: sit, stand, walk, drive, squat, kneel, bend and twist.
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age.
• Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the responsibilities and duties as identified above.
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaced.

Pay Range: $17.00/HR, Flagger Certification Required
Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, nights and weekends as needed.
Position Summary: The position of Traffic Control Flagger will be to monitor, direct and if necessary, reroute the flow of traffic on and around the construction site. May help assemble, position, and clean devices and equipment used to direct traffic. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision.

• Direct traffic in or around a construction site.
• Use signs or devices to direct traffic.
• Help assemble, position, and clean devices or equipment used to direct traffic.
• Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
• If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices, ask a supervisor before continuing.
• Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work and be willing to learn from others.
